A new Appletree Medical Centre location is opening soon! A beautiful new Appletree will open its doors downtown on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 140 The Esplanade (by Jarvis). Appletree welcomes two new family doctors to the practice at 140 The Esplanade:
Dr. Ayman Al-Arabi
Dr. Ayman Al-Arabi, MD, family doctor, received his medical degree in 1999 from Saudi Arabia, following with a residency at the University of Toronto. In practice since 2003, Dr. Al-Arabi has a special interest in preventative medicine, health promotion and helping patients realise their health goals, such as weight loss, smoking cessation and managing chronic illness like diabetes and hypertension. Dr. Al-Arabi is happy to see all patients, and has a special interest in families and children.
Dr. Al-Arabi will open his practice on Tuesday, August 3, at 140 The Esplanade. He will be practicing Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays- to check the wait time and Dr. Al-Arabi’s schedule, click here.
Dr. Christopher Sun
Dr. Sun was raised in Trenton, Ontario and attended medical school at Queen’s University, following with a residency in family medicine at Queen’s. Dr. Sun has a special interest in emergency medicine as well as general family medicine, and enjoys seeing patients of all ages to assist them with their care.

Appletree in The Beach welcomes NEW family doctor!
Appletree Medical Group welcomes Dr. Susitna Banerjee, family physician, to the Appletree Medical Centre in The Beach, located at 1971 Queen Street East, at Queen and Woodbine. Dr. Banerjee will be practicing on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting July 12, and is available to see patients without an appointment. All patients welcome!

The York Lanes Health Centre will be converting to an Appletree Medical Centre on March 1, 2010. Service provided at the York Lanes Appletree will include:
o General medicine
o Annual and Employment physicals
o Travel medicine
o Pap and Birth Control clinics
o Psychology and Counselling
o Educational seminars
o Acne clinic
o Allergy testing
o Immunizations
o STD infection testing
o Mental health services
o Foot care
o Orthotics
o Chiropractic
o Massage therapy
Effective March 1, patients may use the Wait-Timer for Open Office appointments or call the clinic as per usual to book appointments with their physician.
A reminder to the general public that our colleagues practicing at York Lanes also see non-student members of the community. The new Appletree Medical Centre on Queen St. E (in The Beach area) is now under construction and will open January 2010. We are next door to the Athlete’s Care sports medicine clinic, and there is X-Ray and Ultrasound in the Beach Mall with us.

Toronto’s first Appletree Medical Centre opened its doors today. The doctors of the Dufferin Medical Clinic have converted their centre to an Appletree Medical Centre. This change will enable the doctors to have more time for patient care and free them up from administration.
